About MDSC

Monterey Doctors Surgery Center (MDSC) is a multi-specialty surgery center located in the heart of downtown Monterey. The facility is licensed by the state of California, certified by Medicare and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

MDSC is owned and operated by several community based surgeons. Specifically, Kirk Allen, DPM, Darryl Burns, DPM, Ronald Chaplan, MD, Ronald Friedman, MD, Peter Gerbino, MD,  Vittorio Lagana, DPM,  David Morwood, MD, Michael Scannell, MD, Anthony Shaheen, MD, and Douglas Sunde, MD.
